NEW: WheelHouse Art presents Empyrean, New Work by Madison Cawein, which opens to the public on Friday, September 24 with extended hours until 8:00 pm. The artist will be present virtually to meet and talk with visitors 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Part of the 2021 Louisville Photo Biennial.

NEW: Emptiness and Substance - Bette Levy and Deborah Levine opens Friday at Quappi Projects with extended hours.

NEW: Moremen Gallery opens two exhibits, Liminality, a new solo exhibition of work by local artist Shohei Katayama, and CYNTHIA NORTON: DRAWING EXHIBITION with an Opening Reception this Friday, September 24.

NEW: Selections from Two Bodies of Work by Joe Wolek paired with Scrumptious Desserts by Lena Wolek opens at Galerie Hertz on September 26th., 2021 with a reception from 1 PM TO 4 PM. Part of the 2021 Louisville Photo Biennial.

NEW: From the West End to the West Bank: Oppression, Racism and Resistance Group Show is open at U of L’s The Cressman Center. Part of the 2021 Louisville Photo Biennial.

NEW: The last show for 2021 at The Paul Paletti Gallery will be Splendor, Myth & Ritual by Keith Carter. An artist's reception will be held Saturday, September 25 from 2-4 pm. Mr. Carter is the Keynote Speaker for the 2021 Louisville Photo Biennial, his Keynote address will take place at the Speed Museum on Friday, September 24 at 6 pm. NEW: KORE Gallery will host their annual Black and White Show for the month of September The show will consist of over 100 local artists and approximately 200 works of art.

NEW: The Portland Museum has opened an exhibit of Photographs by Jon Cherry as its Photo Biennial show.

The "Transitions" exhibit runs through September 25th at Brick Street Studios. The exhibit features the work of Louisville artists: Shamia Gaither, Katherine McCadden, Irene Reed, Diana Taylor, Ali Wine, and Eriko Whittaker.

KMAC has four exhibits through November 7: Cynthia Norton - Mystical Heart, James Benjamin Franklin - A Layered Approach, Myra Greene - Spectrum, Kiah Celeste - Before It Falls Apart.

Bellarmine University’s McGrath Gallery has opened Shae Goodlett’s Reflectance.
