MELANIE MILLER

Growing up within a farming family, Melanie’s formal education led her down the path of horticulture and agricultural studies. Travel during breaks had her wandering art gallery halls and forgotten towns where she discovered her passion for art in all its forms and mediums. On the East Coast island of Nantucket she discovered fiber art and 2D design. It wasn’t until she found herself in the South Pacific as a horticulturist on Maui that she decided to pursue her true passion for the visual arts. Upon returning from the islands to Louisville, KY, the glass world took main stage for her design passion. In 2009, Melanie gathered  the creative reins at Hyland Glass as Creative Director and equal partner.
