Sign Up to Volunteer with LVA Summer Camps!

LVA needs adult volunteers for the more responsible camp duties of checking in and out and lunch supervision, anyone 18 and over will need to complete a background check. But this is much needed help that we can use. Camps are held at the United Crescent Hill Ministries building (UCHM), the Waterfront Park and the LVA Center for Art & Creativity, please check the location of your camps. Volunteers can learn about the different camps LVA will be offering online here.

Adult Volunteer Information

Once you sign up to volunteer for camp, LVA will send you the background information, this is an easy process, if you have already completed this form for LVA, you do not need to do it again

Adult Volunteer responsibilities include:

  • Morning Sign In Time 

    7:55 to 9:05 Monday through Friday 

    Duties would be signing in campers/parents and getting kids settled into by putting away backpacks and lunches and showing them free drawing materials (you would need to unlock the building and classroom).

  • Lunch Adult Supervision

    11:55 to 1:05 Monday through Friday

    Duties would include supervising lunch break, you would be in charge of the volunteers and campers, we need an adult with them. Lunch will be in the classroom, outside of the building or in the park across the parking lot. We have some outside games and toys and sidewalk chalk, volunteers are good with games.

  • Afternoon Pick Up for Extended Hours 

    3:55 to 5:00 Monday through Friday

    Duties include signing out campers (which means checking the sign in sheet and pick up person's IDs, making sure campers have their water bottles and lunch boxes when they leave, and making sure these campers put away any games and free drawing materials, locking up the classroom and front door).
